A friend recommended that we try “The Ivy” restaurant whilst in Los Angeles. She told me that  I would enjoy it so I booked a table without really knowing too much about it. I  booked about 2 months in advance, just to make sure that we could get the right time and night. I was not sure I really needed to book that far ahead, but I committed to having a look .  The Ivy is located in a street that we wouldn’t have stumbled across and we used a Uber taxi to get there  from our hotel in Hollywood. We arrived to the prettiest restaurant I have ever seen. The flowers, the crockery and crisp linen table cloths made this restaurant very special.  A lovely experience for a special dinner.
